Alone with The Giant
Some of the definitions of "giant" from Merrriam-Webster are, “a living being of great size; a person of extraordinary powers; something unusually large or powerful.” As Sarah thought about the title of her blog, she knew she wanted it to focus on being alone with God. She heard a pastor deliver a message about David and Goliath and was very intrigued to find out how big Goliath really was. Are you ready? Nine feet and nine inches tall! Some sources figure he weighed as much as 600 pounds. Goliath was very… extra!
This prompted Sarah to think of other people who have been very extra: Albert Einstein, Mother Teresa, Michael Jordan, Billy Graham, Michelangelo, Abraham Lincoln, Harriet Tubman. The list of the greatest humans in history could go on and on. Now think of taking all of these greats’ most honorable characteristics and putting them together to make one person. God is even bigger than that! He is The Ultimate Giant.
This is why her blog is called “Alone with The Giant." Being alone with the most extra being in existence has given Sarah such a drive to seek Him and share His goodness. It won't always be polished and tied with a red bow, but she will always strive to be real with you in her blog posts. In the process, she may step on her own toes and yours as she shares what He’s teaching her, but this road will also be filled with confident expectations of what's just around the next corner.
Sarah's posts focus on leadership, family, servant-hood, true fulfillment in Christ, and whatever else the Lord decides to reveal. Please feel free to leave comments. She'd love to hear from you! Sarah hopes you'll walk with her on this journey. Adulting is hard and we need to stick together… with The Giant directing our every step.
